What will happen if I use heavyweight matte inkjet paper in a laser copier?

Question by rhdneal: What will happen if I use heavyweight matte inkjet paper in a laser copier?
I have a box of Epson professional media Matte Paper – Heavyweight, in the A3 size. It says on the box it is for the “Epson photo stylus EX/1200”, which is an inkjet printer. I no longer have an Epson inkjet printer, and want to have copies made at Kinko’s. They told me I can use any paper “as long as it works in a laser printer”.

All you can do is try using one sheet and see

This would be the direct approach.

My guess is that the paper will not perform well in a laser printer.

Why is my copier printing with a weird red tone?

Question by yuppiemommy: Why is my copier printing with a weird red tone?
Hello,
We have a HP7210 (an allin one but we use it for only fax & copier). It is printing in a weird reddish tone. I have done a toner check on it and when I do the toner check – all our new btw – it prints perfectly but try and get it to copy something and it turns it a weird cast of red. (the letters not the entire page). I have checked HP website but they do not address this. Thanks for any help!

Low level of blue and yellow can cause that. If that is the case red is the strongest and most visible. Another reason could be printer calibration. See in the manual if there is something mentioning printer calibration. It is a test which shows if printer heads of different cartridges are printing on top of each other mixing the ink into wanted colors. Process it self is automated.

Copier ID Theft | Photocopy Hard Drive Theft Report | Copy Thieves Stealing Data from Copiers

Copier ID Theft | Photocopy Hard Drive Theft Report | Copy Thieves Stealing Data from Copiers

The original plan was to boost the copy and print process. Whenever a page of the original paper goes over the copy surface, the photocopier will then scan a digital image of it through the use of a digital scanner.

In accordance with the copy machine’s quality, the digital scan can take from a second to around half a minute. Although quite a few high-end copier machines could copy more than one page in a second, most of these copiers can process only one copy in every 5 to 10 seconds.

Now, the main issue is that a lot of people have been dealing with Copier ID theft. What’s it all about? Watch and learn.

Q&A: I am trying to print on pre-printed paper, but it keeps jamming in my copier, anyone know how to fix this?

Question by rday22: I am trying to print on pre-printed paper, but it keeps jamming in my copier, anyone know how to fix this?
I have printed some pages from the internet. Now, I want to go back through and print page numbers on the pages I had previously printed. However, when I print on the pre-printed paper, the copier/printer I use jams after about 15 sheets of paper. Is there a solution to this problem?

It could be a problem of the already printed ink on the paper causing a static buildup. Unfortunately, there isn’t much to be done for that. Printing in small bursts is probably your best bet. About 10 pages and then do a “clean” of the printer (check your printer’s instructions for how to do this), which should remove the excess static and then print 10 more pages and repeat.

Copy vs. Scan – Why does a copier have better quality than a scanner?

Question by HeyNowBrownCow: Copy vs. Scan – Why does a copier have better quality than a scanner?
I have noticed that on digitial copiers (either black/white or color) they can turn out good results when making a copy, but if you then take that same machine and scan your document in (such as in 300 dpi) the results are much degraded.

Does a digital copier use a different scanning technology for copies than when scanning to PC?

Best answer:

Answer by Marco – Yahoo
yes different methods –

A fax / scanner converts what it scans into a picture i.e pixels and as a result the quality is reduced drastically.

A digital machine is able to create “pictures” but uses vector images, which are sharper and have better quality.

Can images be retrieved from a copier that has memory?

Question by gecko68: Can images be retrieved from a copier that has memory?
When you use a copier machine which scans the pages and kept in memory, could these pages be retrieved from the memory? or reprinted?

You said COPIER, is this a stand-alone device? A walk-up copier is different from a MFD (Multi-Function Device) that can copy AND print from a network. It also provides the functionality of a room full of equipment by doing things like send and receive faxes. An embedded hard drive is the thing that concerns business folks by holding data indefinitely. Memory within allows the scanning of documents to act independently.

Is there a color copier out there that uses liquid ink instead of powder?

Question by : Is there a color copier out there that uses liquid ink instead of powder?
I find that the powder is very messy and hard to maintain. I’m also looking for a color copier and RIP device that outputs the best quality and takes more than 100lb paper. I know it’s a lot of info but I need ideas. Thanks people!

Printers based on lasers and photosensitive drums use “toner” (powder). Printers based on ink-jet technology use ink.

You can find all-in-one printer/fax/scanners that use an ink-jet to print. HP makes these as well as other vendors.

If you’re just looking for high quality color printers, I would look at “photo” quality printers.

Copier Staples

We are now in the times wherein everything must have a bit of technology and science in it. If we are very fortunate enough to be able to get some information via the Internet about a certain product and we seem convinced that the product is really good, then we usually order online. This has become a trend as to how certain things are done and people are now accustomed to it.

Digital copiers have gotten an increasing demand as a vital piece of office equipment in the corporate and business world. This is extremely true when it comes to small time businesses as they provide a good professional façade without really spending much on the costs that are charged by established printing services. For small businesses that have small budget, large costs can be a huge limiting factor.

Putting in mind the size, speed and the features that are being offered by a digital printer, the costs can go up to tens of thousands of dollars. This amount can be really daunting for many of small businesses. But this doesn’t stop small entrepreneurs to still buy one. However, used machines are made available by some sellers at a huge discounted price.

Aside from the prices, the size is also one factor to be considered and thought of. If you happen to own just a small enterprise, then it is not recommended to go for the bulky ones since it may prove to be very daunting to mobilized and may consumed lots of work space needed to do some other operations and functions of your business.

Digital copiers, among many pieces of office equipment, are becoming more and more popular in terms of the number of companies and establishments that use them. The qualities of the documents they produce are clearly much better in quality in comparison to their analog predecessors. This is clearly an important buy for any small business since it will provide them not only quality products but it will give their business a much more professional image to it.
